WHAT IS A MARINE SURVEY ?
A marine survey is a detailed inspection of vessel usually done by a qualified or accredited marine surveyor, for the purpose of determining the vesel's current condition and fair market value. It also serves as a means to determine if the vesel is safe to use in conditions for which it was designed, its inteded use and what maintenance and repairs are required or likley to be required in the near future.
WHAT IS A MARINE SURVEYOR ?
A Marine Surveyor is a person who conducts inspections, surveys or examinations of marine vessels to assess, monitior and report on their condition and the products on them. Marine surveyors also inspect equipment intended for use or existing vessels to ensure compliance with various standards and specifications.
